VISITING THE HOUNDS

Would you like to meet the hounds up close to see how friendly they are? Maybe get some cute pictures? There's plenty of opportunity to do this with the Potomac Hunt.

First, you can become a Hunt member. Even if you don’t ride horses, you can become an associate hunt member. As such, you are invited to all social events, can attend hunts on foot, visit the kennel and even help to walk the hounds off-season. You will be part of a thriving social group and we’ll have a lot of fun!

We have stirrup cups for the opening meet in October as well as Thanksgiving Day. Guests and visitors are always invited! You can mingle with the hounds and the mounted field prior to the beginning of the hunt. These events make great photo ops for the whole family!

We also have occasional hound happy hours where the public is invited to walk out with the hounds and come back for light fare at the Hunt Club. And of course, the puppy naming auction, usually in the summer. The auction is a fun party where everyone can bid on the right to name the new puppies

The Potomac Hunt is really a fun group of people that cherish the connection between horse, hound and human.
